Support Services
Our support services programme is divided into three functions, i.e. human resources management, finance and administration and shared support services.
The strategic objective is to ensure that financial management, administration and shared services of ECATU are managed in an efficient and cost effective manner to support key programmes and ensure compliance with legislation, policies and regulations.
Human Resources Management
Human capital management is a focus area, for ECATU. The quality of our services and products depends to a large extent on competency and motivational levels of staff as we operate mostly in the services sector. The HR function ensures effective attraction and retention of the required skills, continuous development of staff and compliance with legal prescripts.
Finance and Administration Management
As a schedule 3 Public Entity, we are mostly governed by the PFMA of 1999 and Treasury Regulations. Whilst we proactively sources additional funding from donors and project fees, our main sponsor is currently the Office of the Premier.
This section is thus charged with leveraging, accountability, strategic allocation and management all funding.
Shared Support Services
This section ensures effective and efficient management of procurement, fleet management and IT services.
