The strategic objective is to ensure diffusion of appropriate technologies to promote widespread utilization of tested appropriate technologies and extend outreach and visibility throughout the Eastern Cape.
The programme is responsible for the development of strategies to diversify income sources and to actively promote visibility and communicate the role of ECATU throughout the province. Strategic partnerships have been identified as a main driver in the programme. A client and beneficiary focused approach ensures the relevance of our products and services.
Stakeholder liaison is a critical element of this programme, as the organisation needs to build strategic partnerships with various role players who are key to leveraging of resources and competences.

The Bantwanana School above was a result of a partnership initiative between the Provincial Departments of Education and Public Works, DFID, the University of Port Elizabeth and ECATU.

Community Public Partnerships (CPP)
ECATU has adopted a project management methodology that brings in communities as partners in its projects through either a community based structures. Social facilitation technicians work closely with communities to provide support in management of local labour, organise the necessary training, ensure healthy labour relations throughout the project and are train them to be able to look after the project post construction phase.
